Am I Jinxed?

I was coming home one night and a black creator ran across the road. we stopped and i jumped out of the pathfinder to see what it was. I noticed it didn't look like it had a tail? it ran in a ditch so i looked over the it thin i seen its eyes glowing then i seen it was a cat.

it looked like it was starving so i took it home and feed it. the strange thing is that it was rite by the house. And its tail is missing. nobody has been saying they have a missing tail less black cat. and its not like a jumpiness bob tail. its hole tail is missing. and it makes a point to cross as many paths as possible!
