We adopted Annabel from the shelter a couple years ago. She's big and beautiful, and downright sassy if she doesn't get her way. She's incredibly social and talkative, and will walk up to anyone and want to be petted.

She's also the best mouser I've ever seen, which is great since we live out in the country. When she's prowling about outside, she looks like a little lioness. And hunts like one, too.

Pick a Tabby.

I'm also so glad that we chose a tabby cat. There were lots at the shelter and we were told it was because tabby cats usually did not get picked out, we thought that a shame.

Without hesitation we picked a lovely tabby boy with wonderful distinct stripes. As soon as we got home he had and inspection of the whole house, insisting on looking everywhere. He then walked up to us and rubbed up against our legs as if he was telling us that he approved. We sure do approve of him, he is the most wonderful addition to our lives, our stripped family member.

like our Jethro

I have to comment that your wonderful sassy Annabel looks so much like our very much missed Jethro. Of course he was a he but apart from that there is such a similarity. And you know what? Jethro was a shelter rescue cat to.

Some people may think that all tabby cats look the same, but they don' do they. Annabel looks all warm and loving.

Hi Jess,

Annabel Lee is a beauty. I can't imagine her being sassy, she looks very sweet, but then again when cats don't get their way, watch out :)

So she is sociable and invites anyone to pet her, I'd bet that she does not get many refusals.
