Thank you also for visiting this About page. You are probably here because you want to know a little about the people behind this web site. Well that's me, the entire staff, with perhaps a little help, and hindrance from my cat :0)

My name is Larry, I live in London England, and as you may guess I'm a little crazy about cats.

I have a love and respect for all animals, but believe cats to be the ideal pet. They are great company, full of love, intelligent and don't ask to much of you. They do ask that you care for them and supply some of their needs, but in return they give so much joy.

So why Best-Cat-Art?

When I started this site, I intended it to be about cat related art, covering things like cat posters and art prints, cat art books and cat themed gifts. Those themes are still covered, but as the site grew other cat related information found its way here.

I found myself writing about cat health issues, caring for a cat, the behavior of cats . . . anything in fact about our good friend the domestic feline, if its about cats, I want to cover it. Didn't I tell you, I'm crazy about cats.

So, Best-Cat-Art is about cats, plain and simple.

Am I a cat expert? No, I would not say that I am an expert about anything. I am not a cat psychologist, a cat breeder or anything, I'm just an ordinary Joe who loves cats. I do however try to be as informed as I can be about our feline friends, and to write the best information that I possibly can.

That old fellow is me. The little beauty I'm holding is Isobel my youngest granddaughter.

I'm not a veterinarian and so, if your cat is sick or has a health issue, you should not rely entirely on any information on this site (or on any web site) but seek professional help for your pet.

Is this a commercial Site? Yes, it is not entirely a hobby site. Best-Cat-Art contains much information all of which is freely given and I hope is of some use to you. But where recommendations are made, in most cases I receive a small commission. This site also carries advertising.

I would not recommend or promote what I believe to be a bad product just to earn a commission. There is no need to, good products earn commissions as well as poor ones and I would much rather promote good products so that you return again to this site. ( See full adverting disclosure. )

There is a maxim that says don't sell anything unless you own or use it yourself. I broadly agree with that and it would nice if I owned everything promoted on this site. However that is not possible.

There is no way I could own every cat litter box, cat art print, cat health product, cat book etc. There is no way I could do that. I'm sure however, that my cat would be very pleased if I owned every cat toy and cat condo. ;0)

All of the merchants promoted on Best-Cat-Art.com are top notch established online companies, and use secure servers to process transactions, which means that you can order with confidence.

Should you encounter any problem, unlikely but things can go haywire sometimes even with the best of merchants, then contact the merchant in the first instance. If you do not get a satisfactory response, then please do contact me and I will do all that I can to help you.

My last cat Basil, was a lovable, lively little tabby always out and about. One day he had an argument with a motor vehicle and had to have one of his legs amputated.

Losing a leg did not take any of the zest for life away from Basil. He could still do pretty much anything that he wanted to do, sometimes it took him a little longer but he did it! He was a courageous little fellow.

It knocked me back a bit when I lost that cat for good and it was a fair while before I felt ready to share my life with a cat again. But eventually a tiny kitten made his way into my heart, kittens have a habit of doing that, and Mr. Robin is now the full grown, mischievous, black and white cat that keeps me on my toes. He also gives me much love and joy.

Life, of course, is not all about cats. I am blessed with five wonderful grandchildren, Jacob, Samantha, Rebbecca, Hayley and Isobel. Each one of them is the apple of my eye.

Now that I am at long last retired from the day j-o-b I can spend more time with my grandchildren and working on this site. . . yippee!
