Between the lines

Sure I understand everything you just said!

Sure I understand everything you just said!

Our cat Lilo is a foundling who "strayed" into our lives earlier this year. She was about 8 weeks old, starving, wet, cold and loaded with fleas.

After an immediate trip to the vet she easily joined our family of two other cats and a small dog, who turned out to be her favorite pal.

Lilo has many funny antics, but one of the cutest is she likes to peer down the stairs between the banister posts. When you talk to her she tilts her head from side to side appearing to understand your every word.

So attentive and he looks so comfy too. I get the feeling that if I tried that, I wouldn't be quite as comfortable :o)

Keeper.
by: Sue Roffey

My friend rescues cats and takes in strays. She gets them healthy and works very hard to find the right people for them.

Naturally she cannot make every cat that she rescues her own cat, but occasionally a cat comes along that she does not want to part with. She calls these cats her "keepers".

I'm sure that had she rescued your sweet Lilo she would be a keeper. You have a truly sensational cat.

Someone to talk to.
by: Jobaputra

Who would not want to talk with such a beautiful cat. You must be very proud, your kind act of rescuing has brought a companion that listens to you. How marvelous that it is and how wonderful cats are.

Cats do understand.
by: Larry (editor)

Hi Cherub,

Thank you very much indeed for sharing your photo of Lilo with us. What a beautiful little darling she is, I can see that you are taking very good care of your foundling.

It must be amusing to see her tilt her head when you talk to her, I believe that cats do understand a good deal of what we say. Of course most of the time they choose to ignore it! ;0)

Anyway, I think it is good of you to talk to your cat, I'm sure that cats appreciate it.
