So I have a pretty awesome black cat named Boogey.
I named him after the Boogey man, cuz when he was a kitten he'd jump out of the darkness and scare people haha, but now he's a pretty chill cat.
And I really don't think cats bring bad luck.
My cats brought me a lot of luck, and we've walked under so many ladders together, and I'm fine haha.
haha so its pretty much just superstition

I just thought I would post a photo of them both on your site, they are cute and I had always been given the impression that they are good luck.
I must say my 2 kittens are like humans one sits on its bum and holds say my keys in both top paws playing with it.
Lolz...Yuri... Black Cat.
(In your cereal.)
I got Yuri two months ago. She was the first cat I've ever gotten and probably the first one to ever be part of my family, we've only had dogs.
Honestly, as wacky, messed up, weird and crazy she is, and cats overall, for me getting Yuri was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
I don't know why the heck we didn't get a cat sooner. They're awesome and wonderful companions. Lol.. and their wackiness is funny too.
I got Yuri from a pet store. They were giving away free kittens and I saw how funny and cute they were. I went home to ask my grandpa if I could have a cat, luckily he said yes and I went back to the store.
I asked to see all the cats and the little black one was the calmest. But said calmness didn't last long..lol.
We shortly after, got another cat, Benny, a little tuxedo. Yuri needed a companion and he's been great with her. =)

I have an FIV positive cat, but wanted another to be her companion.
Finally one crossed my path- luckily, and he needed our help. He had FIV, but was also the dirtiest, scraggliest, skinniest, flea-bitten, forlorn cat I have ever seen. I loved him immediately!
He was our friend for almost 10 years.
We lost him to cancer, and our hearts ache for him every day.
There was no evil in him - he was the opposite; the most loving cat I have ever seen. His name was Marley ( Jacob, not Bob ).
I will always love black cats because of him.
