A stray cat has survived being trapped for four weeks in a chilled food warehouse at temperatures of -2C by eating frozen peas.

The year old cat was named Frosty by the RSPCA staff who rescued him. Poor Frosty got frostbite during his time in the freezing warehouse and had to have both ears and his tail amputated.

The cat is believed to have been trapped in the warehouse after entering in the back of a truck. He was spotted by staff in the warehouse early last month but escaped numerous attempts to capture him. So why didn't the warehouse staff call in the RSPCA earlier?
