A Decision Making Tool?

Some choices are reasonably easy to make. "Shall I drive to work or take the bus?"

"Shall I have steak or a healthy salad for my lunch?"

When shall we marry? Next year? In two years? When we have our own home? Next month? This afternoon?

Often though, a decision has to be made requiring complex choices, and sometimes that decision can impact your life. "Which offer of employment do I accept, A, B, C or D ?"

A pays the most, but I'm not sure that I'll be completely happy doing that kind of work. I'm certain that I would enjoy B, but could I manage on the rather small salary. If I accept C I would have plenty of free time, but little chance of advancement. D seems like fun, but would the commute be a nightmare. Which one do I choose?

"I've been invited to two parties on the same evening. Should I choose one or the other, or should I try and spend some time at both? Or do I stay home with a good book instead?"

"I'm sick of the lack of appreciation I get from my boss. I have given a lot of thought to working for myself but I can't decide between - working freelance, starting a consulting business or working entirely online with my own web site."

Decisions like those can be a headache because of the many factors to take into consideration.
