If you are not already doing this, you may want to start feeding your cat a natural raw meat diet. Do some research before trying this though. Point being that now your cat has lost the weight, his skin will resize over time. Skin is the fastest regenerating organ of the body and it will adust as it does this. To be sure this happens in the best way possible, its important that he gets all the nutrients he needs in the most natrual form.
Also a good tip for people who have trouble keeping their cats slim. It is hard to keep a cat slim on a highly processed, high grain, diet.
Mine blow the vets mind when they were weighed. They get very excited because they do not see cats of correct weight very often. They then get peeved when I tell them how. And mine are snack bandits - they will literally fight me for ham, and love to drink raw milk from healthy grass fed cows. (do not give a cat shop bought milk - it is too processed)

he's not fat.... by: Anonymous
When we got him from the pound he was 35 pounds. Now he is a normal size cat in skin three x his size...noone is feeding this cat too much...the original owner did it. The extra skin is funny because he is so tiny now...

He' not fat anymore by: Anastacia
When we got him from the pound he was 35 pound. Now he is a normal size cat, in alot of skin. Good gravy, if he were still fat, he's fill it out. Thats why it's funny.

Don't feed him your stuff. by: Anonymous
A cat is not happy like that. Are you feeding him stuff every time he comes begging? I say that because we made the same mistake with our "benny boy"
He would always be there asking for a piece if we had cheese or any kind of meat. It is so hard not to give them some but you have to be cruel to be kind. He got way to fat and we did not have him with us as long as we might have done.
Maybe you are not doing that maybe it is something else that is causing the weight but please try to get your cat to the proper weight.

Oh my goodness! by: Larry (Editor)
Hi Anastacia,
Oh my goodness! Yes Garfield may indeed need to go on a diet, unless that actually is three cats in that basket? :)
