How Cats Changed Me Forever.

About 1 1/2 years ago, my good friend had too many kittens and needed to find them homes.

We were hanging out one day and I used her restroom, where 6 kittens were being raised. They were still in there, as they were 4 weeks old. I came out and made a comment that she had too many cats in the bathroom and I almost stepped on them.

She asked me which one I liked and I told her the tiny black runt.

(Not knowing what she was trying to do)...

She then said, "Why don't you take him then?"

"HECK NO", I said.

"I hate cats".

And besides I was not prepared for one.

She handed me some food and litter, and told me to take him.

I didn't really agree, but took him home anyway.
I never thought he would live because he was so young.

Well, "King Oreo" is now 1 year and 3 months and the love of my life. He loves me and I love that cat more than anything in the world.

People really can change.

Cats can change us
by: pepsy

Your King Oreo looks lovely and cats can certainly enhance our lives. A guy I know always said that dogs were better than cats. Then he became a "foster" for a cat while looking for a home for his relatives cat. When the new lady came to get the cat he had tears in his eyes at handing her the cat. Two days later the lady gave him the cat back as "Missie" wanted him as much as he wanted her. He has shared his life with another rescue cat so that Missie would have company...he now prefers cats.

Thank you for sharing your cat and his photo with us.
