It was love at first sight!

My beloved grey calico, Emme

My beloved grey calico, Emme

Well, this is the story: I had a beautiful little salt & pepper tabby cat. She was called Mischief. She was the light of my life. She was an indoor/outdoor cat. A stray dog, probably one of those gone to the wild, pack dogs entered my yard and bit her and she died.

When I told my daughter, she mentioned it to her kids. Her daughter said "Grandpa needs a kitty". Shortly thereafter, my grand daughter found an adorable long haired grey calico kitten whom they presented to me. I was hooked! This little 6 week old kitten absolutely stole my heart. I had no choice but to say YES! I want her. Please may I have her? My daughter and grand daughter said fine! We wanted you to have her.

The moment that little cat was placed in my hands, she licked my nose several times, ears folded back, as if to say, "You won't bite me, will you?" I've been hers for 3 and a half years now. (by the way, it's 5 litters of kittens, later, now! She's a really great mom cat. Her name is Emme. She's starring on the "moggies" website from the UK which cat lovers can really enjoy. Go to , then click on . She wrote it!

I was chosen by the sweetest little feline in the world! I'm all hers.
God bless you ~ Norm

Touching story!!
by: Miss J

It's so sad that your old cat die.. but I am happy that you love your replacement cat as much as (or close to) the old cat. It's best if you keep your cat indoor so the accident wont happen again. and please dont hate dogs because of the accident, they are also really loving animal, just that when animal gets outside, they get wild and they just do whats natural to them- hunt.

Another Cat.
by: Jenny

I am taken by your story of your beautiful "replacement cat." I'm glad that you found another cat to love.

When my Trish passed away I knew that I could not replace her but knew also that I can still give love to another cat.

I did not wait so very long in taking the plunge. The result is a wonderful black male cat that is much different than Trish but is just as delightful in his own way. Everyone thought that i would wait years, but why? I have another cat to love, that does not mean that I was not heartbroken by the loss of Trish, but does mean that I can still give my love.
