Kira...An ordinary cat.

by Katie
(Summertown,TN,USA)

Kira is a grey tabby cat with some orange mixed in. She is 2 years old and had her first litter in about May. Only one survived.

There is nothing really special about Kira. But I love her. She is special to me.

Congratulations to Kira
by: Larry (Editor)

Hi Katie,

Congratulations to Kira on her kittens. It is sad that you have to find them new homes, but it is understandable, any pet needs looking after and that does take money as well as commitment. I know that you will ensure they go to homes where they will be loved.

You may have tried this already. Some shelters offer reduced rates for spaying to those in financial difficulty, it could be worth asking around.

Thank you Katie for keeping us updated about Kira.

Sad.
by: Anonymous

Kira had her kittens and they are 6 weeks old now. they are dark tabby and there are three of them. there are two boys and a girl. Dad says we have to find them new homes ASAP. :( I'll miss them. I want to get Kira spayed, but we don't have the money. And there is NO way mom is going to let me bring Kira in permanently.

pregnent again!
by: Katie

Kira is pregnent again! And I could'nt believe my eyes when I saw one of her "callers"! I'll start at the beginning. 5 or 6 years ago, we came home with two cats. one was a female orange(and very fluffy)cat. I named her Cream Puff. The other was a HUGE male Manx named Buster. he disapeared about 4 or 5 years ago.And I don't rememmber what happened to Cream Puff.I looked out the window one day a few weeks ago and saw a cat. I told dad and after looking for a while,he said," thats Buster!" And it was! after 4 or 5 years! But he only stayed long enough to court. I havent seen him since. But it was good just to know that he is alive!

Cassie and Millie

I never thought I would have a cat because my mom is allergic to them but one day we walked into a petsmart and saw a beautiful brown tabby named Millie.

At first she was not very happy in her cage but we soon found out it was because she did not like being around other cats. We bought her that day and brought her home when she popped out of her box and started searching my home I fell in love with her instantly.

She is the sweetest cat I have ever met she has never bitten anyone before and I am so proud of her.

I know it sounds silly but I could not imagine my life without her and I tell her everyday.

Millie.
by: Tori

Hi.

Millie sounds like a very sweet cat and very loving. It is not silly to say that you cannot live without her, I feel the same with my 3 cats. They are amazing, and Millie sounds like she is too! Cats can be very demanding, so watch out! ;)

Millie sounds lovely and I'm sure she will be your friend forever. I thought it was funny how you said "she has never bitten anyone before" hehe I don't think she ever will.

Sounds like a great tabby cat.
by: Larry (Editor)

Hi Cassie,

The title of your post is "Cassie and Millie" but you only write about Millie, so I'm presuming Cassie is you name? I hope I've got that right.

First, it doesn't sound at all silly to say that you cannot imagine being without your cat. ;0) Cats become such good friends that we can't think what it would be without them.

Millie sounds like a great tabby cat. I expect that she was very happy to be out of the cage and in the home of someone who was going to give her lots of love.

Thank you very much indeed for sharing your story about Millie with us.

Rescued Cat

Our Tabby is a rescue. His orginal owner ended up in a nursing home and her 5 cats were sent to the Humane Society. A cat rescue place called "Meowza" rescued our cat and we adopted him from Meowza.

His name was "Tigger" but we changed it to "Trooper" and it fits him great. He is 5 years old and is a very good boy. We are able to leave him on the weekends for a getaway and he does great by himself.

He is VERY spoiled. He is chipped and neutered and we just had his teeth cleaned by a vet, he is a wonderful addition to our family.

Trooper.
by: Anonymous

I'm very happy you rescued a poor kitty. Trooper sounds like a nice name, like he loves to explore.
My kitty Tiger says Hi! Literally, he is sitting on my lap meowing at the computer screen. Haha! ;)
All cats are spoilt. I spoil mine LOTS. He's my angel.

Stafford?
by: Irv

If that is Bowza Meowza Rescue in Stafford, VA it is a great -no kill - shelter to get a cat from. Those guys really go all out to take care of the animals. Even if that is not the place you mean it is good that you got your tabby cat from a rescue.

Trooper the Tabby.
by: Larry (Editor)

Hello,

Congratulations on your rescue tabby. What a great thing to do, to give a new home to a cat that has ended up in a shelter. Rescue cats can be some of the best.

Trooper spoiled? All cats are spoiled a bit aren't they :0)

Here's wishing you many happy times with your addition to your family. Thank you for sharing about Trooper with us.
