The Loss of my Siamese for 45 minutes.
by Kenneth Roeske.
On October 26, 2004 I opened my back door to talk to my sister and my prized Siamese cat wandered outside for the first time since she was a kitten.
All I could do was frantically look through my house for her when I realized she was gone, all I could think of was the worst.
Out of all the pets I've had in my life my Siamese is the most intelligent animal I have ever had the opportunity to own.
I am a grown man and when I lost her I started to cry, I never have done that over any animal I've lost.
You see, Chase is like a human, always no more than 10 feet away from me, even as I write this she is in my lap.
But that day when I lost her I witnessed a tragedy and a miracle in an hour.
As all Siamese cat owners know they are very hard to see at night and when I went out in my back yard looking for her and yelling her name I couldn't see her.
I came in the house in utter disgust that I lost my best friend, but I didn't loose hope!!
I was staring out of the back door and I for the first time in a while prayed to god that she would come back.
And low and behold I went back outside and called her name one last time and she came running towards me like a cheetah and jumped into my arms.
I couldn't believe my eyes. So if you read this remember if your a cat lover like I am, the next time some fool says dogs are more intelligent then cats remember this story!!
Lost Siamese Returns
How wonderful that you and Chase were reunited so quickly. Sometimes it takes a while to find a Lost Cat.
And I agree with you, cats are indeed intelligent, much more intelligent than we give them credit for.
Homemade Cat Toys.
You may not save yourself a fortune by making simple playthings for kitty, store bought cat toys are usually quite inexpensive, but you can have fun doing so and make something personal for your feline friend.
Cats And Sunburn.
Cats do love to soak up the sun, but sunburn and worse is a real risk. What can you do to ensure that your cat is protected from the dangers of the sun?
