Mister Robin's Kitten Pic (number one)

Ball of paper is a good toy.

Ball of paper is a good toy.

Presenting Mister Robin, my new companion :0)

After years of not sharing my life with a cat I was persuaded to take one of the kittens from Marble's second litter. (Actually it did not take much persuasion.)

I have often written about my belief that cats should be allowed outside, but that where I live is far too busy with traffic (sadly I've lost cats to traffic – Basil) So I vowed that I would be without a cat until I can move somewhere safer.

But who could resist Mister Robin? He will be an indoor cat, maybe I'll get him a harness and we can enjoy some fun times in the garden.

I brought him home yesterday. He is settling in well, my son said he would, no problems so far with the litter tray. Mister Robin is full of life, full of energy and is as curious as . . . a kitten. He loves to be petted and has an amazingly loud purr for such a small chap.

Of course, my new friend will mean big changes in my life. I'm a geezer so things like household cleaning and putting stuff away are not usually high on my agenda, that has got to change! I'll have to make sure that there is nothing left out that he can harm himself with.

I will need to either buy or make him some toys if I'm going to leave him all day. He enjoys a screwed up ball of paper, that's what he is playing with in the photo. It will not be long before we visit the veterinarian either, he needs his shots and, it's got to be done, neutering.

I haven't mentioned that Mister Robin is just eight weeks old. Tomorrow will be the big test, the poor little chap will be on his own all day while I'm at work, he has got to get used to that, he will be fine I'm sure.

Like anyone with a new kitten, I could go on and on about him. I'll end this now, but be warned, there is no doubt I will submit more photos as I take them.

Mister Robin it is good to have you here ;0)

Good News
by: Liz from www.find-a-seafood-recipe.com

Hi Larry

Great that you've got yourself another cat.

He looks fabulous and I hope he's settled in well - must be great company for you.

I'd so love another cat, but feel that I couldn't take the time off to settle one in.

Hope to see you again at one of the South East meetings.

Liz

Robin is a cutie
by: Dennis Miller

Give a kitten a wad of paper and they will amuse themselves for hours... the more crinkely, the better..

It's best for the kitten to stay indoors, his life span will double...

Two Geezers Together
by: Lesley

Now you have a young geezer to keep the old geezer company. :-)

It's easy to see why you have succumbed to such a handsome fellow!

I'm sure he'll give you many hours of pleasure and entertainment and you'll really enjoy his company.

There used to be someone who lived near me who regularly took their cat for a walk on a lead, so I don't see why you shouldn't be able to do the same. The exercise will be good for you ;-)

Kind regards,
Lesley

A Mask Like Mike.
by: Anonymous

Hey, he looks an awful lot like my Mike did when a kitten. He also has a mask.

Mike still loves balls of paper now that he is eight years old, still runs after them just the same. Looks like you got yourself a real good cat there.
