My cats are staying inside.

I would not dream of letting my three cats roam outside. For one thing cats have disappeared from this neighborhood, they have been taken. I could not let that happen.

Not one of my cats, five altogether with the three I have now, has been unhappy about staying in the home. They know that they are safe in here, and they get extremely well looked after.

You say that if you keep your cat inside then the cat will behave badly, not so. All my cats are very well behaved. They do not get bored at all I spend a good deal of time with them, they have a box full of their toys, and they also have each other.

There are so many bad things that can happen to cats outside apart from being taken. My cats mean so much to me to let that happen.

Hi Gloria,

Thank you very much for your interesting contribution.

It is good to read that your cats are happy staying inside and that they do not get bored. There is no right and wrong on this issue, there are many good reasons for keeping your cat indoors and there are many good reasons for allowing your cat outside.

As you say, the danger of your pets being taken away is one of the arguments for keeping them safely inside.
