My cats

I much prefer outdoor cats, as I have two. my friends who have indoor cats are amazed at how gentle and relaxed my two cats are, because they are both part stray.

I believe in outdoor cats because they seem to be less stressed, and if you make them upset they just run away for a bit and then come back. They also are more affectionate, because they don't see you all the time, but do not depend on you for anything but cat food and a few scratches.

My cats are so well behaved, but I do miss the luxury of just sitting with a cat on the couch. We only have outdoor cats because we have dogs who like to eat small furry things like cats.

Hi there,

I know what you mean about cats that are allowed out being less stressed. They have more to keep them interested - places to go, territory to patrol.

Not that indoor cats need to be stressed or bored, but they do need interactive cat toys and a playtime with their human each day.

Cats, I think, are meant to be allowed out, but sadly there are dangers for them out there, it's a hard choice to make.

As for your dogs eating your cats :0) I'd doubt that would happen. Most dogs and cats that I know of that share a home get on OK, they have to! Cats usually rule though :0)
