Ginger.

We cannot see her ginger fur but we can see your Mercy is so sweet.

All cats are always the boss. Mine have me wrapped around their paws to force me to do as they want, they boss me that way. A lovely little cat.

A very cute boss!
by: Larry (editor)

Hi Xavier,

Thank you very much indeed for sharing Mercy's photograph with us.

Your 'Boss' is very cute :0) I'll bet that she is a boss that gets her own way, not by being a dictator but by giving plenty of love to get what she wants. Her 'love me' personality shines out from her little face.

As you probably know, only about 1 in 3 ginger cats are female, which makes them a little bit uncommon. But it does not matter how rare a cat is or not, the important thing is they bring so much happiness into our lives. And it seems that Mercy has brought much happiness to you and your family.

A great transformation.

by Tori
(London, UK)

2 years ago, I took home 3 kittens. They were left on the streets by their mother, and they were only 1 week old and still tiny. I guess their mother didn't want them anymore.

When I took them home, I gave them some milk and went out immediately to buy them their supplies. ( Beds, toiletry.. etc ) but since I never looked after cute tiny kittens, I had no idea what to buy. Kittens are meant to have milk right? Instead I brought home a couple of cartons of milk and a BIG bag of kitten food. I bought a big bed and some other things. They spent most of their time sleeping, but it was adorable watching them and hearing them meow.

There were 2 females and 1 male. I named them Tiger, Sapphire and Jewel. Such a pleasure to have around. They grew up strong and healthy. They were a joy to have around!

1 year and a half later, Tiger became very vicious and mean. Whenever I held him, he sunk his claws wherever and ran off. I had lots of scratches and marks and so did my brother and sister.

We decided to see a specialist and she said he is just feeling unsafe and shy. We had to train him, but it was impossible. So what I did was buy a scratching rug, and placed it next to his hiding place. His hiding place is inside of his litter box, his litter box has a lid on it.

I took off the lid, and eliminated all hiding places as possible. He was confused and spent the day in his bed. When I went upstairs to see him, instead of meowing and hissing at me constantly he came running to me, purring, meowing and rubbing his furry face against my leg as to say " I'm sorry for what I did. " He has truly changed. They are all growing up well now. I love them and they love me!

Three fine cats.
by: Jobaputra

That is very kind to take in and rescue three kittens. I am so glad that everything is working out for you.

That is very unusual for a cat to hide in his litter box. Very good that now he is not biting you and scratching you.

Enjoy your lovely three cats.

Three Lovely Kittens.
by: Larry (editor)

Hi Tori,

What a wonderful story. Bringing up one week old abandoned kittens must be a real challenge, congratulations to you, it's great to read that they have grown up healthy and happy.

I'm very pleased that tiger has settled down. Kittens don't mean to be naughty or viscous, it's just that they have to learn to control their natural hunting instincts.

Thank you very much Tori for sharing about your three lovely kittens with us.
