My Treasure

When I moved out of home at 18 I missed the cats and my dog more then I had anticipated. When I found out that my landlord was ok with me getting a kitten I was more then ecstatic.

I began to look online at the SPCA and other adoption places for my perfect kitten. I was very touched and shocked by one story of kitten that were left for dead in a Mcdonalds dumpster covered in trash and even grease when found.I immediately called the SPCA and was told that they were available for adoption at a local petstore. and that was it, I was off to get my baby boy.

When i arrived the cat I was most drawn to was the little orange kitten but he was on hold. But then .. I heard this little mew from the other side of the room and there he was My Osker (then Robert) when I asked to hold him the girl working warned me that he was quite noisy .. and that settled it, nothing was going to persuade me from him he was mine. Well Osker is 3 yrs old now and I love him a little more everyday .. He is VERY noisy and although it can get annoying I wouldn't trade him for the world.

From this experience i have learned that "one mans trash, really can be another mans treasure"

Great Tabby, great story.

Hi Raelynn,

Thank you so very much for sharing Osker's photo and story with us.

What a magnificent example of a tabby cat he is! His stripes are so very clear and the famous tabby forehead 'M' stands out so clearly.

Hey! Now we know what that 'M' stands for - - MacDonalds :0) Sorry, I should not joke about kittens being left in a dumpster. How could someone have done that, some people don't deserve to be called human.

Kudos to you for giving him a home and love. You say he can be a little annoying, well we can see that he is playful and it's obvious that you would not want him any other way.

Great Tabby, great story.
