That ole' black magic

I have an FIV positive cat, but wanted another to be her companion.

Finally one crossed my path- luckily, and he needed our help. He had FIV, but was also the dirtiest, scraggliest, skinniest, flea-bitten, forlorn cat I have ever seen. I loved him immediately!

He was our friend for almost 10 years.

We lost him to cancer, and our hearts ache for him every day.

There was no evil in him - he was the opposite; the most loving cat I have ever seen. His name was Marley ( Jacob, not Bob ).

I will always love black cats because of him.

Sally

Marley

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your cat. I had my 14 year old sable Burmese, Cinnamon, die almost a year ago...she just was sleeping and a second later she lay their dead. The vet said that her heart just stopped and that it was quick and not painful. It broke my heart.

I have always loved black cats, they just have that little special something about them. I am very happy that you gave him a good home and loved him for all of the time that you had him. I don't know if you know of the Rainbow Bridge that cats cross over when they go. If you don't let me know and I will post it up here. PEPSY AKA cONNIE AKA cAT...IDENTITY CRISIS lol

Hi Sally,

"the dirtiest, scraggliest, skinniest, flea-bitten, forlorn cat I have ever seen. I loved him immediately!" :0) Lol.

Yes Marley sounds very lovable. Black cats are just like any other cats, there certainly is no evil in them, just sometimes a little devilment. I'm sorry that you lost him.

Thank you very much for sharing your story.
