The Day I Met The Love Of My Life!

It was in the Summer of 2000. My sister and I drove up to St. Joseph, Mo., to go to the mall. As we walked into the mall, I noticed that the Humane Society had a display and we noticed that they had a kitten. Me, being the cat lover of all cats, just had to stop and ask if I could hold the kitten. They said I could. I held her, she was so small, and and was a Calico.
I asked if I could adopt her and of course they said Yes. But, I would have to wait until Monday, because the Humane Society was not open on Saturday. I asked if the could hide her at the shelter and that I would get her on Monday. Then I remembered that I had to work that Monday. So, I asked a friend, if I gave him the money to get her and for his gas to drive 60 miles to up her up. He said he would.
So on that Monday morning they went and got her for me and we have been inseparable. She is really spoiled. Does not act her age, but I can see old age creeping up on her like it is creeping up on me. We sleep together, she talks to me, she understand some sign Language.
In June, she will be 10 human years old. Has never touched grass with her paws. Never caught a mouse, but did let me know when she found a grass snake in the kitchen behind the stove. I love her with all my heart and soul. Her name is Josey Belle, also known as Bebs, Beber, Bebers.
