The one we almost left behind
A little over 7 years ago, Cathy (my wife) and I lost our BeeBee King, and Cathy was heartbroken. The day we did lose him, we immediately went to the local Animal Shelter to look for another kitten. Sitting in this one cage were two kittens, one was all black and the other black and white. Cathy opened the door and picked up the black kitten and it was love at first site.
When I looked back in the cage at the black and white kitten, (these two are brother and sister), I couldn't bear to see the sad look in his eyes, for we were going to take away from him, the one thing he had left in his life. I looked at him and then my wife and said "there is no way I can leave him in there by himself, he is coming with us too."
Did we pick the right kittens? Bet your life we did. For sevens years now they have given their unconditional love to us and in return, we give them the same.
So this is a photo of Patches, (the kitten we almost left behind), and the brother of Princess.
