Vincent, the awesomest cat ever.

(Australia)

My husband and I, decided we wanted a cat seeing as our neighbours cat moved away. On the way we were discussing the type of kitten we would like and came to the conclusion we wanted the most crazy one who was the tuffest.

While picking out the craziest there was this gray striped kitten with a white nose, chest and paws and a few brown leopard spots on his belly and he was meowing constantly! He wouldn't stop! The kids would pick him up and he'd struggle to get down but wouldn't run away, he was just walking and meowing desperately at no one in particular. We decided he was the only cat with any brains to realise that this wasn't the place for him. So instead of the rough and tumble meanie we were originally going to choose we chose the most woeful kitten there.

Over the next few weeks his personailty shone through and he was everything we ever wanted! completely potty trained from day one, he was friendly to strangers, sought us out and snuggled when he was sleepy, played with toys, hid in the cubby houses we made for him, played outside and talked to us if we talked to him, he also played fetch if you threw a rock or a stick he'd bring it back, he hung out in trees during the day, plays chasey across the complex, tolerated children, he sits in puddles when it rains with this silly cat smile on his face (probably laughing at the mud I'd have to clean up later)!

I'm so glad we took pity on the crying kitten because our reward has been gaining the third member of our little family. :)

Hi,

Thank you very much for sharing your story of how you chose Vincent.

Yes, it sure sounds like you have a crazy one, I can just imagine him sitting in a puddle :0)

I'm glad that you have a cat that makes you happy.
