That does seem a bizarre place to take a nap doesn't it! But cats have their own way of choosing where to sleep.
Bunty, my beautiful Persian will only sleep in her bed, no exceptions. But I have had other cats that slept in the strangest of places, usually as high up as they could. Amusing photograph.

But of course, an elk's head is the perfect place for a cat to nap! Why choose somewhere comfortable like the sofa, that would be boring :)
That elk must have been going at some speed to break through the wall like that.
