Worried in Boston.

On my way to school this morning, this black cat walked beside me as if I was its owner.

I tried scaring it away but it would move, just kept walking beside even brushing against me. This last for at least 2 minutes then it just stopped.

What does this mean?

Hi Mark,

You have no need to worry at all.

All that happened was that a cat tried to be friendly with you.

Would you have been worried if it was a tabby cat, or a ginger cat? No, probably you wouldn't :0)

Black cats really are no different at all to any other cat. It's just us humans that attach superstitions and stories about black cats bringing bad luck.

That cat was just after a bit of attention. You know what so cats are like, because you would not give him any he tried all the more.

So if you see that black cat again you can make friends without any worries at all.
